Nolwenn Terme

Nolwenn Terme is a Researcher and Teacher at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Angers (UCO), France. She specializes in marine biotechnology with a focus on seaweed extraction techniques and biochemical characterization of marine organisms. She coordinates the Master 2 Biotechnologies Engineering program in Cosmetic and Food Products and Processes. Her research emphasizes sustainable biorefinery processes, enzyme-assisted extraction methods, and the valorization of bioactive compounds from algae.

Education: Doctorate (HDR) in Chemistry from the National School of Chemistry in Rennes (2012), Master of Science (2008), and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (2006) from University of Rennes 1. She also holds a DUT in Chemistry from IUT Rennes.

Research interests span marine polysaccharides, lipid chemistry, and the development of eco-friendly extraction technologies. Recent work focuses on Solieria chordalis polysaccharide characterization and Ulva sp. biorefinery applications. She collaborates internationally on algal biodiversity and functional food components.

Teaching responsibilities include General & Organic Chemistry, Analytical Techniques (spectrophotometry, chromatography), and preparation for veterinary exams.
