Noemi Rodriguez

Noemi Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the School of Professional Studies, City University of New York (CUNY). She is currently on fellowship leave until August 2025. Her academic work is centered on health policy, healthcare access, and medical interpretation, with a strong emphasis on equity and ethics in public health practice.

Ms. Rodriguez has served as Course Coordinator for Health Services Management I, Legal Aspects of Health Care, and Health Services Research. Her prior professional roles include Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she contributed to agency-wide confidentiality policies and interagency collaborations, particularly with the Department of Homeless Services. She has also been involved in quality assurance projects at Bellevue Hospital Center, San Juan de Dios Hospital in Barcelona, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Earlier teaching roles included seventh-grade physical science and ESL and health administration courses at Hostos Community College.
