Noemí Oeding is an Assistant Professor at Samford University in the Department of Political Science within the Howard College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Policy from Auburn University and a Master’s in Arts Administration from Florida State University.

Her research focuses on the intersection of nonprofit organizations (particularly in the arts) and American political behavior, including studies on how Black operatic works influence racial bias. She has presented at major conferences such as the Southern Political Science Association and the International Society for Third Sector Research.
At Samford, she teaches courses in American government, public administration, and nonprofit management. She has secured grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, Florida State Arts Council, and private foundations. Her professional experience includes leadership roles in arts nonprofits like the Montgomery Music Project.
