Noah Finkelstein is a Professor of Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder and serves as Vice Chair and Fellow at the Center for STEM Learning. He leads the Physics Education Research (PER) group and co-directs the national Network of STEM Education Centers. His research focuses on student learning in physics, educational transformations at institutional scales, and STEM policy at national levels. He has authored over 150 publications, emphasizing contexts influencing student success and systemic educational change.

- Serves on national boards including the Higher Learning Commission, AAU Technical Advisory Board, and National Academies’ Roundtable on STEM Education
His work bridges classroom practices and institutional structures, exploring how innovations like active learning spread within departments. Awards include APS and AAAS Fellowships, and the Timmerhaus Teaching Ambassador distinction.
