Education:
- Ph.D., University of Southern California
- Master of Arts, University of Southern California

Her recent publications reflect a deep engagement with exile literature, dissident voices, and the intersections of personal and national memory.
The analysis of her recent articles reveals a consistent focus on Cuban cultural identity, literary modernism, and the politics of representation. Her work often centers on marginalized voices, including Afro-Cuban and LGBTQ+ writers, and explores how literature functions as a site of resistance and self-articulation. She frequently publishes in both academic and public intellectual venues, such as Diario de Cuba, bridging scholarly and diasporic audiences.

She is affiliated with research centers such as the Cuban Research Institute at Florida International University and has contributed to major reference works like Cuba: Its History and Its People. Her editorial work on critical editions demonstrates leadership in preserving and interpreting key texts of Cuban literature.
