Nitin Vaidya

Nitin Vaidya holds the McDevitt Chair in Computer Science at Georgetown University. His research focuses on Byzantine fault tolerance, distributed optimization, and resilient machine learning. He developed frameworks like Ligero for zero-knowledge proofs and contributes to federated learning security under adversarial conditions.

His work addresses redundancy in cost functions and consensus protocols in directed networks. Previously at UIUC and Texas A&M, he earned his Ph.D. from UMass Amherst. His publications received awards at ACM MobiCom and MobiHoc.
