Professor Nir Arielli is a faculty member in the School of History at the University of Leeds, within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures. He holds the position of Professor of International History and is actively engaged in research and postgraduate supervision.
His research interests include environmental history, the Arab-Israeli conflict, transnational war volunteering, and the foreign and colonial policies of Fascist Italy. His work explores the interplay between geopolitical developments, economic shifts, and environmental change, particularly in the context of the Dead Sea region.
Nir Arielli's recent publications reflect a strong focus on transnational military mobilization and the historical dynamics of conflict zones.
