Nina Politimou

Nina Politimou is a researcher in the field of music cognition and child development. She completed her PhD at the Music Communication and Cognition Lab under the supervision of Dr. Fabia Franco. Her research focuses on the links between musical and linguistic skills in young children and the role of the home musical environment in developmental outcomes. She has received funding from the Society for Education and Music Psychology Research (SEMPRE) to extend her work on the associations between the home musical environment and infant language development. She is an Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck and Middlesex Universities and holds a Senior Teaching Fellow position at the UCL Institute of Education.
