Nina Musgrave is a Lecturer in Terrorism and Security Education and Assistant Director at the Centre for Defence Studies (CDS) at King’s College London. She teaches on the MA National Security Studies programme in the Department of War Studies. Her research focuses on Hamas’s political strategies, Middle East sectarian dynamics, and non-state actors.

Research Interests: Explores Western approaches to Hamas, the impact of Syria’s civil war on Middle Eastern sectarianism, and the evolution of Hamas’s political engagement since 2006. Her forthcoming book examines Hamas’s response to the Arab Uprisings.
Projects: Co-leads InterSEC:Action, investigating sexual exploitation in the aid industry through genealogical research (ongoing).
Affiliations: Based at Strand Campus, London WC2R 2LS, within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy.
