Nina Moreno

Nina Moreno is Professor of Spanish and Second Language Acquisition at the University of South Carolina, serving as Associate Department Chair and Undergraduate Director. Her research integrates psycholinguistics with technology-enhanced language teaching.

Key areas include computer-delivered feedback efficacy, flipped-blended instructional models, heritage learner identity, and Spanish as a heritage language in new destination communities. Recent work explores linguistic ideologies through the SEC Spanish Consortium.

Moreno developed innovative CALL tools including Anki-based learning decks and co-created the ADAM project's Lean Game Server. Awards include the Garnet Apple Teaching Innovation Award and Sigma Delta Pi teaching honors.
