Nina Heinrichs is a Full Professor of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy at Bielefeld University in Germany. As a licensed psychotherapist, her research examines anxiety disorders across developmental stages, prevention strategies for psychological health threats, and childhood adversity impacts. Her work investigates psychological factors influencing health outcomes and adaptation mechanisms in dyadic relationships.
Dr. Heinrichs focuses on recursive influences in parent-child and couple relationships to identify principles linking relationship dynamics with mental health outcomes. Her current research explores the increased risk of violence re-exposure following childhood maltreatment. She earned her psychology degree from Philipps-Universität Marburg and completed research fellowships at Boston University's Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders.
