Nina Fisher is a Lecturer in Psychology at Edinburgh Napier University, where she teaches modules including Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, and Introduction to Educational Psychology. She also serves as the Year 2 Lead for her department. Her research focuses on the intersection of music and cognitive psychology, particularly emotional processing during musical activity and the parallels between music and speech. Additionally, she explores how feedback can be effectively utilized by staff and students.
Dr Fisher completed her BSc(Hons) at Edinburgh Napier University in 2014, followed by a PhD at the University of St Andrews examining the impact of musical training on emotional processing and cognitive abilities. Her postdoctoral work at the University of Edinburgh (2017) investigated turn-taking in music and conversation.
