Georgia Institute of Technologyمعرفی
Nima Ghalichechian is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He leads the mmWave Antennas and Arrays Laboratory, focusing on millimeter-wave phased arrays, reconfigurable antennas, and phase-change materials. His work spans high-power arrays, 5G/6G systems, and advanced measurement techniques.
Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (2001), M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland-College Park (2005, 2007). Prior to Georgia Tech, he held roles at Formfactor Inc., Ohio State University (OSU), and the ElectroScience Laboratory.
Research interests include mmWave antennas, reconfigurable components, on-chip integration, and nonlinear materials like vanadium dioxide. His lab develops solutions for harsh environments, high-frequency communication systems, and energy-efficient designs.
Notable achievements include the 2024 Roger Webb Outstanding Junior Faculty Award, NSF CAREER Award (2019), and multiple industry collaborations. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Antennas & Propagation and leads Georgia Tech’s Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC).
