Nilmini Wickramasinghe

Prof. Nilmini Wickramasinghe is an Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology and inaugural Professor-Director of Health Informatics Management at Epworth HealthCare, with an honorary position at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. She holds a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA from Melbourne Business School, and executive education from Harvard Business School. With over 20 years of experience in health informatics, her research focuses on technology-driven healthcare solutions for value-based patient care.

Her research integrates health informatics, digital health transformation, and technology deployment in clinical settings. Key areas include predictive analytics for chronic diseases, AI in healthcare, blockchain applications, and digital twin technologies for personalized care. She collaborates globally and leads projects on medication adherence, mental health interventions, and remote rehabilitation systems.

Prof. Wickramasinghe has received the Alexander von Humboldt Award and holds a patent for healthcare analytics. She serves as Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Biomedical Engineering and Technology and the International Journal of Networking and Virtual Organisations, and leads multiple NHMRC and EU-funded projects. She mentors doctoral candidates in health informatics and digital solution design.

Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration across healthcare institutions in Australasia, Europe, and the US, focusing on scalable digital health innovations for improved clinical outcomes.
