Niladri Chatterjee is a Researcher at Linnaeus University, Sweden, and Affiliated Researcher at the University of Oslo. He holds a PhD in Modern South Asian History from SOAS, University of London. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor in History at North South University (2016–2018) and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oslo (2019–2024). His research focuses on South Asian History, Global Health Politics, and Colonial/Postcolonial Studies from transnational perspectives. He teaches courses such as 'Postcolonial encounters' and 'Method and practices in the humanities' at the Master’s level.

His monograph on the 1857 Uprising analyzes the role of Bengal’s middle-class intelligentsia during colonial crises.
