Niky Kamran is a Distinguished James McGill Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. His research focuses on differential geometry, geometric analysis, and mathematical physics. He currently serves on the editorial boards of Forum of Mathematics, Pi, Forum of Mathematics, Sigma, SIGMA, Comptes Rendus Mathématiques, and Annales Mathématiques du Québec. Previously, he co-edited the Canadian Journal of Mathematics with Henri Darmon from 2000–2006.
He holds prestigious awards including the CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize and membership in the Royal Academy of Belgium. His work bridges geometric structures with physical applications, contributing to foundational areas in mathematical physics.
