Nikos Zarkadis

Professor Nikos Zarkadis is an Associate Professor at the School of Landscape, Engineering and Architecture (HEPIA) within the University of Applied Sciences of Geneva (HES-SO). He specializes in optimizing building systems to enhance energy efficiency and occupant comfort. His research integrates machine learning with building physics to address challenges in smart building control and user behavior analysis.

• Education: BSc in Energy and Environmental Technology (TEI of Crete, 2003), MSc in Environmental Protection Technologies (University of Crete, 2008), PhD in Predictive Control of Building Systems (EPFL, 2015).
