Dr. Nikos Kallinikos is a Teaching Fellow in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Warwick. His research focuses on mathematical physics, nonlinear dynamics, and integrable systems with applications to plasma physics and celestial mechanics.
Teaching responsibilities include: Year 2 Consolidation, Problem Solving with Python workshops, and Mathematical Modelling support classes. His research utilizes symmetry methods and geometric approaches to solve complex problems in Hamiltonian systems.
Recent publications contribute to plasma confinement theory through magnetic field analysis and Hamiltonian reduction techniques. Kallinikos investigates quasisymmetry applications in fusion devices and develops analytical solutions for charged particle dynamics.
