Nikola Komatina is a Scientific Associate at the Department of Production Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. His work focuses on advancing decision-making methodologies, failure mode analysis, and optimization techniques in manufacturing and industrial systems. He contributes to the automotive industry through innovative approaches like PFMEA prioritization and integrates fuzzy logic, MCDM methods, and Industry 4.0 trends into his research.
Key research interests include failure mode prioritization (FMEA/PFMEA), multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), fuzzy logic applications, process optimization, and sustainability in manufacturing. His recent work emphasizes strategic failure management, equipment selection, and material evaluation under uncertain conditions.
Publications highlight contributions to cloud platform selection, electric vehicle evaluation, and business excellence frameworks. Notable projects include assessing PFMEA maturity levels and analyzing barriers to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation.
Collaborations involve interdisciplinary teams addressing challenges in recycling technologies (e.g., ELV recycling equipment) and organizational resilience in industrial enterprises. He actively participates in research projects funded by the University of Kragujevac, focusing on overcoming disruptions in engineering management.
Labs/Teams: Involved in the Scientific-Research Project on Engineering Management disruptions and contributes to the Faculty’s applied mechanics, energy engineering, and manufacturing innovation groups.
