Niklas Grimmich

Niklas Grimmich is a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics and Extraterrestrial Physics, part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics at Technische Universität Braunschweig. His work focuses on space plasma physics and magnetospheric dynamics.

• Research Interests: Space plasma physics, magnetopause movements, foreshock phenomena, dynamo theory, and machine learning applications in space physics.

Recent Publications: Analyzed extreme magnetopause distortions under varying solar wind conditions, observed foreshock bubble impacts on magnetopause expansion, and contributed to magnetometer data calibration for space missions.

• Projects: Currently analyzing data from space missions for the upcoming SMILE mission while maintaining routine calibration of Cluster magnetometer data.
