Nikki Marhefka

Nikki Marhefka is a Professor and Program Director of the Medical Assisting Program at Central Penn College. With a career spanning over two decades in medical assisting education since 1995, she has designed and taught administrative and clinical courses for both on-ground and hybrid programs while coordinating student practicums. Certified as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) and Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), she also holds a First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification from the American Red Cross.

• Degree: Ed.M. from Temple University; B.S. in Medical Technology from University of Pittsburgh

Her expertise lies in Medical Assisting, combining clinical and administrative training through student-centered teaching methods. She has contributed to medical laboratory textbooks and emphasizes practical application of knowledge for career readiness.

Marhefka actively engages in community service, volunteering at Shalom House shelter and with Junior Achievement to promote financial literacy. She also serves as faculty advisor for Club M Ed.
