Nikki-Maree Meller is a past researcher and former Lecturer affiliated with the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine under the Faculty of Health Sciences. Her work focuses on nursing practices and patient care, particularly grief experiences among nurses following patient mortality in acute care environments.
Research Interests: Her research explores grief management in healthcare professionals, palliative care dynamics, and ethical considerations in end-of-life patient care. She contributed to an integrative review analyzing nurses' grief responses in acute hospital settings.
Publications: Her 2019 journal article in Collegian examines nurses' emotional experiences post-patient death, co-authored with Deborah Parker, Deborah Hatcher, and Athena Sheehan.
