His research investigates African popular culture through critical analysis of power dynamics across race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, nationality, and language hierarchies. Theoretically grounded in critical cultural studies, political economy of communication, and decolonial anthropology, he employs qualitative and visual methodologies including documentary photography and graphic design. Current work examines development discourse in Ghanaian hiplife music and culture, emphasizing meaning-making practices within social difference frameworks.
