Niels Sandalgaard is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University Business School, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Accounting Research Group. His research focuses on budgeting models, management accounting, and risk management in practice, particularly in banking and non-profit sectors. He previously worked as a business analyst and executive assistant in a large Danish firm before academia.
Education: M.Sc. (Econ.), PhD.
Research Interests: New budgeting systems, Beyond Budgeting frameworks, management accounting in practice, financial risk management, and organizational dynamics in financial sectors.
