Nicolás de la Cerda

Nicolás de la Cerda is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research at Tulane University. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received multiple fellowships including the Mellon Dissertation Award and James W. Prothro Award for Outstanding Research. His research examines political psychology, party systems, and public opinion in Latin America.

Key research areas include partisan responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, ideological coherence of European party families, and the evolution of partisanship in Chile. His publications appear in journals including the Journal of Politics in Latin America and European Journal of Political Research.
