Nicole Tuchinda

Dr. Nicole Tuchinda is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Memphis, teaching Torts I/II, Health Law Survey, and Health Law Seminar. She previously served as Director of the Juvenile and Special Education Law Clinic (JSPED) at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC) and held roles at Georgetown University Law Center's Health Justice Alliance. Her work focuses on medical-legal partnerships, addressing systemic issues like the school-to-prison pipeline, childhood trauma, and racial justice through education, family, and healthcare law advocacy.

Her career includes clinical teaching and supervision, litigation at Ropes & Gray LLP, judicial clerkship under Judge Thomas Zilly, and service as Assistant Chief Counsel at the FDA. She has extensive experience in poverty law, special education law, and public benefits advocacy.
