Nicole Sheets is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Whitworth University, joining the faculty in 2010. Her research focuses on creative nonfiction, travel writing, spiritual writing, and literature of pilgrimage. She has published in journals like Image and anthologies such as Permanent Vacation and Jesus Girls.
Education: Ph.D. (University of Utah), M.A. (Hollins University), B.A. (West Virginia University).
Awards: AWP Intro Award (2010), Utah Writers’ Contest (2006), Pushcart Prize Nominee (2011). She blogs for Wanderlust and Lipstick and hosts the podcast Rambunctious Vernacular.
Teaches courses on creative writing, pilgrimage literature, and Latin American literature in translation. Her work bridges personal narrative, spiritual exploration, and environmental themes.
