Nicole Liddell

Nicole Liddell serves as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Human Factors and Systems Science and sessional tutor in Psychology within the School of Law and Society at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She is concurrently pursuing a PhD under supervision from both the Centre and the Sexual Violence Research and Prevention Unit, supported by a Research Training Program scholarship.

Her educational foundation includes a Class I Honours Bachelor of Psychology from UniSC (2022), complemented by community service work with domestic violence victims prior to tertiary studies. Academic distinctions include dual 2022 awards for leadership and academic excellence.

Research focuses integrate systems thinking across two critical domains: transport safety (analyzing rail level crossing behaviors and train driver stress responses) and gender-based violence (addressing technology-facilitated coercive control through structural interventions). Her work bridges human factors engineering with social justice imperatives, emphasizing practical policy applications.
