Nicole Kimmelmann is a Professor of Business Education at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Her research focuses on competency development in the workplace 4.0, language promotion for migrants in vocational contexts, and resilience in educational and occupational settings. She leads initiatives addressing migration, diversity, and inclusion in vocational education and professional development.

- Master’s in Methodology and Didactics of German as a Foreign Language (Goethe-Institut & University of Kassel, 2005)
- Degree in Vocational Education and Personnel Development from FAU (2004)
Her work emphasizes language diagnostics (NBD-T), inclusive handling of diversity, and intercultural competency frameworks. Recent publications include analyses of language support systems and teacher training models for inclusive education in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Active in FAU’s Professorship for Business Education, she coordinates the 2025 Internationalization in Teacher Education working group and leads the 2025 IBB Inclusive Education Bavaria project, providing first-hand inclusion experiences for students.
