Nicole Flemming

Nicole Flemming is Lecturer in Biomedical Science at University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health. She holds a PhD from University of Queensland (2021) and conducts medical research at Sunshine Coast Health Institute. Her research examines kidney pathophysiology, diabetes complications, and mitochondrial dysfunction using metabolic profiling techniques.

Flemming serves on SCHI Laboratory Operations Group and reviews for Frontiers in Physiology. She previously taught in Griffith University's Doctor of Medicine program, developing curriculum for pathophysiology education. Current courses include Human Physiology and Human Pathophysiology.
