Dr. Nicole Eichert is a Junior Research Fellow in Experimental Psychology at Jesus College, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on neuroimaging, brain evolution, speech, language, memory, and comparative neuroscience. She holds a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship (2022–present) and previously worked as a Biomarker Scientist after completing her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford. Her work spans experimental psychology, neuroimaging techniques, and evolutionary comparative studies.
Education: BSc Molecular Medicine (Tübingen/Karolinska Institute), MSc Neural and Behavioural Sciences (Tübingen), PhD Neuroscience (University of Oxford). Professional roles include collaborations with McGill University and contributions to the Wellcome Trust 1+3 PhD program.
Key research interests include structural connectome imaging, cortical organization analysis, and applying neuroimaging to study language evolution and organ-level pathologies. Her publications address multi-organ impairment in chronic conditions like diabetes and long-COVID, as well as primate brain connectivity and evolutionary neuroscience.
