Nicole Doerr

Nicole Doerr is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Sociology, researching transnational democracy, civil society, climate justice movements, migration, gender dynamics, and digital media's role in political polarization and conflict mediation across Western and Central Eastern Europe.

Recent publications reveal concentrated research on political translation mechanisms, climate communication strategies, and far-right visual rhetoric, with empirical studies spanning Germany, Denmark, and transnational case comparisons. Key projects include EU Horizon PolarVis on climate imagery and Horizon Europe's Democracy in an Age of Turbulence program examining gender in right-wing digital ecosystems.
