University of Wisconsin-Madisonمعرفی
Nicole DesJardins is a Research Fellow in the Department of Entomology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research integrates behavioral ecology, nutritional physiology, and toxicology to study how environmental stressors affect beneficial insects. Current projects investigate pollinator responses to variable weather in fruit crop systems, with prior work on fungicide impacts on honey bee cognition and foraging.
Education: PhD in Behavior and Neuroscience (2023) and MS (2021) from Arizona State University; BS from University of Michigan.
Research interests include learning-cognition interplay, thermal-nutritional interactions, and mitigating anthropogenic threats to pollinators. Publications demonstrate how pesticides disrupt neural glucose signaling and exacerbate climate stressors.
