Nicole Brown is an Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Curriculum & Instruction at Chatham University's College of Health Sciences. A certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from PCOM, she joined Chatham in 2015 and has focused her academic career on Emergency Medicine, OB/GYN emergencies, and Medical Simulation Training. She also practices clinically in emergency medicine at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC.
- Education: BS in Psychology and Neuroscience (Allegheny College, 2008); MS in Physician Assistant Studies (Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2011)
Her research examines ectopic pregnancy diagnostics, medical simulation pedagogy, and interprofessional education impacts. Recent publications include studies on ß-hCG biomarkers (2024), urban reproductive health behaviors (2021), and digital learning tools for physician assistant students. She received the prestigious Chatham University Buhl Professorship in 2021.
