Nicolas Tholozan

Nicolas Tholozan is a Research Fellow at the CNRS — École Normale Supérieure (DMA), where he focuses on Geometry, Topology, and Mathematical Physics. His work explores reductive homogeneous spaces, Anosov representations, and anti-de Sitter geometry.

• Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics from Université de Nice (2014), advised by Sorin Dumitrescu.
• Research Supervision: Qualified to supervise research in compact quotients of reductive homogeneous spaces and surface group representations.

Research Interests: Tholozan’s research spans differential geometry, geometric group theory, and mathematical physics. He investigates geometric structures on manifolds, cohomological invariants, and dynamics of Anosov representations. His recent publications include studies on fiber bundles, maximal representations, and volume invariants in anti-de Sitter geometry.

Collaborations: He has co-authored works with prominent mathematicians such as Fanny Kassel, Bertrand Deroin, and Anna Wienhard. His research involves organizing seminars and workshops like the Higher rank Geometric Structures (2025) and the Tell me about... seminar series at DMA.

Advising: Tholozan has supervised doctoral students Samuel Bronstein (Max Planck Institute), Tianqi Wang (Yale University), and currently Giorgos Stamatiou at École Normale Supérieure.
