معرفی
Nicolas Loeuille is a Professor at Sorbonne Université, affiliated with the International Institute of Ecology and Environmental Sciences (Paris). He leads research on the interplay between species evolution and ecosystem structure/functioning, focusing on coevolutionary dynamics in plant-herbivore, plant-pollinator, and predator-prey systems.
- Current PhD student: Théo Villain (co-advisor: Jean Christophe Poggiale)
- Former PhD students: Simon Boudsocq, Charlotte Moritz, Nicolas Verrier, Tiphaine Le Mao, Ewen Georgelin, Manon Costa, Thomas Koffel, Aurore Picot, Eric Tromeur, Odile Maliet, Loïc Prosnier, Jose Mendez, Avril Weinbach, Thomas Cortier, Youssef Yacine, Basile Finand, Alice Ardichvili, Vasco Lepori, Edgard Djahoui
His work integrates spatial modeling to understand community organization and applies eco-evolutionary dynamics to global changes and species management. Collaborators include researchers from Ecole Polytechnique, IRD, INRAE, CNRS, and international institutions.
- Key research themes: ecological network organization, niche construction, theoretical ecology, spatial structure impacts
Former postdocs and visitors in his lab were funded by programs like Emergence UPMC, Chaire MMB, and Région Ile de France, with mentees transitioning to roles at institutions such as University of Florida, Lund University, and Institut Pasteur.
