Nicola Pascucci

Nicola Pascucci is a tenure track researcher (RTT) at the Department of Law (DiGiur) of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. He serves as the DiGiur representative for Internships and Career Day, and as delegate of the School of Law in the Committee of the University Penitentiary Pole at the Fossombrone Prison.

His educational background includes:

• Law degree (2012) from University of Urbino Carlo Bo, with honors
• PhD in Economics, Society, Law (2017) from University of Urbino Carlo Bo, with honors

Dr. Pascucci specializes in Criminal Procedural Law with research interests spanning reasonable duration of trials, evidence, precautionary measures, special procedures, appeals, legal cost reimbursement to acquitted persons, and penitentiary work. He has obtained national scientific qualification for associate professor positions (second tier) in Criminal Procedural Law with unanimous committee judgment on January 31, 2023.

His notable publications include monographs on multilingual defendants in legal proceedings and the testimony of minor victims. His research bridges international legal standards with the Italian legal system, particularly regarding vulnerable populations' rights during criminal proceedings.

Dr. Pascucci has participated as a speaker in academic seminars and conferences. For the 2025/2026 academic year, he teaches Criminal and Restorative Justice, Penitentiary Law across multiple degree programs, Criminal Procedure, and Criminal Justice Elements.
