Nick Watkins

Prof. Nick Watkins is a Visiting Professor at multiple institutions including the Grantham Research Institute (LSE), Open University, and Boston University’s Centre for Space Physics. His primary affiliation is with the Centre for Fusion, Space & Astrophysics at the University of Warwick. He holds an Associate Fellow role at Warwick’s CFSA since 2000.

He specializes in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of complex systems, statistical physics, space plasma physics, and climate science. His work emphasizes stochastic modeling of climate fluctuations and their economic impacts, particularly through energy balance models.
