Nick Curzen

Professor Nick Curzen is a Professor of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Institute for Life Sciences. He leads research in cardiovascular interventions, including transcatheter valve procedures, arrhythmia management, and precision diagnostics. His work integrates wearable technology and digital health solutions for cardiac monitoring. Current projects include the SMART-ALERT study on real-time atrial fibrillation alerts and the Trifecta Valve Registry. He supervises multiple PhD students and contributes to clinical guidelines through the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. His research also explores economic and clinical outcomes of cardiovascular diagnostics and therapies.
