Mr. Nick Allen is a Tutor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews. He completed his academic training with an MPhil in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge (2017–2018) and a BA in Philosophy (Hons) from Durham University (2014–2017).

Allen's research focuses on the intersection of Meta-ethics and Feminist Epistemology, examining how feminist critiques of mainstream epistemology apply to meta-ethical frameworks. His work also addresses social media dynamics, including context collapse and contributory injustice, as seen in his 2023 publication in Synthese. His teaching includes courses like PY1011 Moral and Political Controversies, PY2013 Moral and Aesthetic Value, PY1010 Mind and World, and PY2012 Meaning and Knowing.
Current affiliations include postgraduate membership in the Arché and CEPPA research centers, and co-founding the St Andrews Feminist Philosophy reading group with Lara Jost and Emilia Wilson. Non-academic roles include serving as Assistant Warden at St Regulus Hall for three years. His broader interests span Rambling, painting, and narrative-focused games.
