Dr. Nicholas Walsh is a Lecturer in Developmental Psychology at the University of East Anglia (UEA), joining in 2013. His research focuses on systems approaches to mental health and wellbeing, particularly in adolescent populations.

His work investigates how psychosocial stress and genetic factors influence neural development and mental health outcomes in adolescents, employing neuroimaging and behavioral studies. Recent publications explore topics like biopsychosocial depressive risk, cerebellar stimulation effects, and social rejection resilience.
Dr. Walsh teaches modules on mental health for BSc Psychology and systems approaches to mental health in UEA's Developmental Science MSc program. He is currently accepting PhD students interested in systems-based mental health research.
