Nicholas R. Gans is an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at UT Arlington and Principal Research Scientist leading the Autonomation and Intelligent Systems Division at UTA Research Institute. His research spans robotics, computer vision, and autonomous systems.
Research focuses on vision-based control, multi-agent systems, and safe human-robot interaction. Current projects include intelligent UAS detection, robotic terrain classification, and distributed formation control.
