Nicholas R Nicholson Jr

Nicholas R. Nicholson Jr. is a Professor of Nursing at Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing and serves as Program Director for the First Year Seminar and the Residential Experience. He holds a PhD in Nursing from Yale University (2010), with postdoctoral training in Geriatric Clinical Epidemiology at Yale School of Medicine. His academic progression includes roles as Assistant (2012–2020) and Associate Professor (2016–2020) before attaining his current rank.

Dr. Nicholson's research focuses on mitigating social isolation in older adults through intervention development and psychometric scale creation, such as the Social Isolation Scale. His clinical expertise spans cardiac telemetry, community health nursing, and public health advocacy.
