Nicholas Messina

Nicholas Messina is a Professor in the Department of Communication at Monmouth University. He holds an M.A. in Corporate and Public Communication from Monmouth University and a B.A. in Communication from Ramapo College.

• Research Interests: global and political communication, rhetoric, propaganda, fake news, pop culture, and audience studies.

His scholarly work includes analyses of contemporary propaganda, media influence, and political discourse. Notable awards include the Corporate and Public Communication Excellence in Scholarship (2018), Top Graduate Paper from the New Jersey Communication Association (2017), and the Outstanding Academic Scholarship Award in Global Communication and Media (2012). He serves as an advisor for the Monmouth University College Democrats and contributes to academic discourse through courses like Media Literacy, Radio Production, and Broadcast Copywriting.
