Nicholas Kenney, D.M.A., is a Professor of Horn at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) and Interim Chair of the Department of Music. He has expanded the horn studio, established the SEMO Horn Choir, and received multiple teaching awards including the NACADA National Merit award. A globally active performer, he has appeared at venues like Carnegie Hall and collaborates with orchestras worldwide.

His research and professional activities focus on horn pedagogy, ensemble leadership, and music education strategies. He directs the SEMO Show Band and co-founded Duo Sonus with former student Jordan Redd in 2022.
Notable scientific achievements include hosting annual SEMO Horn Day and developing experiential learning programs recognized with university awards. His collaborative work with composer James Naigus resulted in the premiere of Odyssey for Two Horns and Fixed Media in 2023.
