Nicholas Harmon

Dr. Nicholas Harmon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Southampton, specializing in geophysics and seismology. He is a member of the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute and actively contributes to research on subduction zones, lithospheric structure, and mantle dynamics.

His research focuses include:

• Subduction zone geometry and tectonic implications
• Distributed acoustic sensing applications in marine environments
• Planetary geophysics using terrestrial analogs
• Seismic imaging of lithospheric discontinuities
• Mantle flow patterns beneath tectonic regions
