Nicholas Costen

Dr. Nicholas Costen is a Professor in Computer Vision at the Manchester Metropolitan University, affiliated with the Department of Computing and Mathematics and the School of Computing, Mathematics and Digital Technology. He holds a PhD in Mathematics and Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and has held academic roles since 1991, including Senior Lecturer and Reader. His research focuses on Dynamic Digital Phenotyping, leveraging smartphone sensor data to analyze human behavior, particularly in health contexts like smoking cessation and MS management. He is also actively involved in teaching scientific methods and project planning.
