Nguyen Cong Phuc is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Louisiana State University (LSU). His primary research focuses on Partial Differential Equations, Harmonic Analysis, and Nonlinear Potential Theory. He holds an office in 312 Lockett Hall and teaches MATH 7375: Wavelets in Spring 2025.
His research contributions span quasilinear and Hessian equations, singular integrals, and potential theory. Notable work includes studies on p-Laplace equations, Choquet spaces, and maximal functions. He has extensively explored gradient estimates, measure data problems, and Sobolev space embeddings. His findings appear in top journals such as Annals of Mathematics, Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, and Journal de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées.
Dr. Phuc collaborates with leading mathematicians like Igor Verbitsky and Tuoc Phan, addressing challenges in elliptic equations, capacity theory, and nonlinear potential estimates. His recent work emphasizes universal potential estimates and uniqueness criteria for entire solutions.
He has advised numerous graduate students and holds expertise in advanced topics like Reifenberg flat domains and Carnot-Carathéodory spaces. Current research includes Choquet integral applications and BMO solutions to p-Laplace equations.
