Newman Sze

Newman Sze is Professor and Canada Research Chair in Mechanisms of Health and Disease at Brock University's Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. His research program investigates degenerative protein modifications as fundamental drivers of aging and age-related pathologies.

Current work develops 'omics approaches to characterize protein damage in biological systems, generates targeted antibodies for therapeutic intervention, and advances immunotherapy strategies for cardiovascular disease, dementia, and cancer. The lab focuses on isoDGR-modified proteins as key mediators of vascular and neural degeneration.
