Neslihan Oflaz is a Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Yeditepe University. With a dual academic background in Mathematics and Physics, she holds a PhD in Physics from Koç University (2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University (2007), complemented by a Physics minor (2006).
- PhD: Koç University, Physics (2015)
- Master's: Koç University, Physics (2009)
- BSc: Middle East Technical University, Mathematics (2007)
- Physics Minor: Middle East Technical University (2006)
Her research focuses on cosmology and modified gravity theories, particularly analyzing accelerated expansion models and anisotropic cosmologies through Brans-Dicke gravity and higher-dimensional frameworks. She has contributed to nonlinear optical phenomena studies and geometric scattering problems.
Recent publications explore nonlinear permittivity effects in Kerr slabs, incoherent nonlinearity in optical systems, and geometric constraints on particle motion. These works reflect her interdisciplinary approach bridging mathematical physics and cosmology.
- Full Scholarship, Koç University PhD program
Dr. Oflaz teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, including Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, and senior project seminars. She combines theoretical physics insights with mathematical rigor in her pedagogy.
